Summary
Forecasted opportunity (not yet open for applications; expected to be posted around 2027-01-21; estimated application due date 2027-05-21). The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) seeks to advance its mission through the support of the Translational Transplantation Tolerance Cooperative Study Group (TTTCSG) program. The overarching goal of this program is to facilitate clinical translation of safe and effective transplant tolerance regimens that achieve long-term graft survival without the need for life-long administration of immunosuppressive drugs. This program will enable establishment of a multi-center, cooperative program dedicated to developing, optimizing, and evaluating approaches to induce and maintain immune tolerance to allogeneic transplants, which will be tested in translationally relevant models. Grant authorities that allow NIAID to forecast this opportunity are as follows: Sections 301 and 405 of the Public Health Service Act as amended (42 USC 241 and 284) and under Federal Regulations 42 CFR Part 52 and 2 CFR Part 200.
