Frontier research in any field by a principal investigator with a substantial record of achievement.
Who can apply
Active researchers of any nationality with a track record of significant research achievements in the last 10 years. There is no limit on career age. The host must be in an EU member state or associated country.
Award size
Up to €2.5 million over five years in recent calls, with up to €1 million more for start-up costs or major equipment.
Duration
Up to 5 years.
How applications are reviewed
Two-step panel review on scientific excellence; Advanced Grant applicants are not interviewed.
Deadlines
One call a year, recently closing in late August.
